Spectacular! I love your painting and weathering style. Looks very "right" to me.
Gotta dig all my modelling gear up from the basement, it's been ages since I last built a model! I have a Tamiya 1/48 Swordfish in progress, and several other kits in the waiting stash.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Hi gang, thanks for your generous comements.
Colonel, the weathering and panel lines are basically a combination of pre-shading before the main colour goes on, and Promodeller weathering washes. I used the Concrete colour on the white, and a colour I mixed from Dark and Light Dirt colours. The trick with Promodellers is to use a colour lighter than you need, as matt varnish will darken it a little. I then added some streaks with Tamiya weathering powders (The stuff that comes in what is effectively an eye shadow box.) I fixed the build thread link so you can see some pics of the process.
The panels are so fine due to the lovely moulding of the kit. They really are very subtley done, and a highlight of the kit.
The RBF tags are from Eduard, and they do them in the three 'main' scales. They are photo etched metal, so you can add a little animation to them.
Thanks again all!

WOW! I thought I was good at modelling when I was around 17 years old, but what is shown here on this board is simply stunning.

Outstanding! I'll second the comment on the cockpit. Wow.

Thanks for the further comments everyone. I entered it in my first competition at the Huddersfield show a few weeks ago. I was very pleased to win my class.

Awww, congrats, goon, and even sweeter that it was your first contest! Cheers Argy
So the Thunderhawk would come screaming out of the sky at mach ohmygod! and as soon as the struts hit the ground they would rip off. You're trying to apply scientific principles to 40k. Do you not see the problem with that?
