Lovely to meet the team! - Back in the neoqb days I remember they posted a team intro video on Youtube, which I linked to in the forum just to try to convince the haters that These Were Not Evil People.
I still don't think that video nor your article will change the minds of those strange hateful creatures, but hopefully fans sitting on the fence will realise that 777 Studios is not out to steal our bodily fluids but just here to make a great sim. I remember the video and it is still on the RoF blog. Hello from Rise of Flight: http://riseofflight.com/Blogs/post/2008/11/19/Hello-from-Rise-of-Flight.aspxWheels

Wow thanks for this article and showing us ''who'' ROF is.
No matter what you do, the bullet with your name on it will get you. So, too, can the ones addressed "To Whom It May Concern".

Any chance we can see the damage model demo? It'd be great if even some of it could be incorporated but I'll get by if it doesn't. The impact of the planes with the ground is only part of the damage model/game that bothers me.

Nobody said ROF is not a great sim..nobody hates ROF.....I just pointed out whats wrong in the sim, what should be (not only my opinion btw) fixed and optimised before making new planes....only hate I see is your rant on me and some other guys who have different opinion....

Everybody needs to grow up some, as well as get a thicker skin.
No names were mentioned, so why take it personally? Let it blow by, don't bring the thread down. Too many threads are going that way here IMHO; I hate even looking to see what is posted at CoD now. It's like a train wreck...

I think RoF happens to be a real Gem, and hopefully will be held in as much esteem as IL2 and go on for just as long, if not longer Imagine what can/will happen once the SDK is available for third party contributions to RoF. There will be an explosion of productivity, albeit not all of it will be up to snuff. Quality control will be important of course. Elements from the 3D art community business model(Poser, DAZ3D, Renderosity etc) may be worth looking at in this regard where 3D artists make items for sale, and the owners take a small cut. Might just work here. I participated in a very limited way in another sim community and truly enjoyed making a small difference, just like the skinners do now in RoF. Hope this comes to pass someday.

Ok two guys already found the nuggets on the ROF forum.
Nugget #1 - Our functioning Aldis sight on the SE.5a in Albert's picture
Nugget #2 - Our functioning Reflector sight on the D.Va in Daniel's picture.
I'm really surprised you guys didn't notice this earlier. :-(
Both sights will be available as part of our Field Mods program to be rolled out hopefully around the same time frame as the Career.
Jason I think nobody posted initally because the extra features are such a surprise I noticed the extra ring inside the SE5a Aldis mount on first glance and didn't want to wind up the forum.. I thought it was maybe an extra floating gunsight from arcade mode ... foreheadslap... It'll be interesting to see Aldis modelled, the Entente planes aren't really complete without it. I thought it'd been pushed well onto the back burner though.

If they release an sdk, they can say goodbye to 9 dollar aircrafts cause no one would buy them anymore.

No because it is only a modelling SDK. Only we can build the flight models. That is too complicated for anyone but our engineer. Any third party built airplanes would also be sold.
We'll be starting with objects and vehicle first. They don't require so much coding from us.
