Hi folks. I just got FSX today, and I downloaded a Dassault Super Etendard. I'd like to fly it off the boat just as I do with the F/A-18 from the Acceleration pack.

In any case, the example I found seems to be a bit older, but there is an update I found for it that gets it up to 2004 standards I believe. The updates seem to be located in a word document.

I found an aicraft.cfg editor, which seems to be the correct tool, but the corrections in the Word file are many, and it would seemingly take me quite some time to add them all in one by one.

Is this the way to update aircraft for FSX? I was just trying to find the most up to date Super Etendard model available, and I'm wondering if I made the right choice or not.

Thanks for any and all help!

I found an FSX version that looks like it is an updated version of what was originally an FS2002 model:
http://fsdownload.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1533

I also found a page that appears to have some beta FSX models listed at the top:
http://www.mirage4fs.com/etendard.html

Listed below the FSX beta models, I assume the many repaints on this page for the "Romain Lucas SEM" will work with the updated FS2002 model that I found at fsdownload.com. smile

Here you can find an Acceleration catapult update that appears to be an add-on for the FSX conversion of the FS2002 Romain Lucas model, which is also on this page:

The same files can also be found here:

There is also an Etendard IV (the Super-Etendard's predecessor) in native FSX SP2 format available here.

On that Website you can also find a French aircraft carrier to fly from. smile
