Well, what do you think - esp. those of you who have been following the betas and RC? How does it compare to the other slew of new browsers about? Hardware acceleration, opt-out tracking, faster script engines, minimalist interface, HTML5, tab previews, tear-off tabs etc. The IE9 RC is a noticeably better performer than its predecessor. However, I cannot find any mind-blowing innovation that is distinct to IE9; many articles trumpet features have been present in other browsers for awhile. I'm hoping MS will sweeten the deal by, say, adding their own brand of Tab Candy, but at this point that's mostly wishful thinking. The RC was still fast & this release cycle was snappier; seems MS is borrowing the best from its competitors (Sorry about the large image. I just had to post it though) I'm hoping to hear from web developers on this too. Do you see very significant benefits of hardware acceleration in browsers, and is HTML5 really primed to replace Adobe Flash anytime soon?

Installed it, windows did alot of "things" when it installed, tried it out, its ok, faster than IE8 and less obtrusive, clean interface.
however, I still love my Google Chrome... and Firefox Befor that, I just installed FF4 final, So I'll try that out.

IE9 is nice and the best Microsoft web browser in 6 years. But I like Firefox4 better.
Never rub another man's rhubarb.

Just went back to IE8, for some reason the fonts in IE9 turn out very fuzzy It's definitely got some issues with some sites. That's a bit of a deal-breaker, since I imagine a large no. of people use it for compatibility reasons. I just installed FF4 final, So I'll try that out. Thought that was going to be released tomorrow. Hellooo tab candy

I think, to some degree, the best browser is the one a person likes to use.
I've been using Firefox a long time. Used the 4.0 beta, and thanks to the reminder here just installed the final-release 4.0.
4.0 has a new internal architecture. And, its neat to see some visible changes in the interface. However, it runs about the same as 3.x -- says its "faster" but 3.x was fast enough and I can't tell the difference with my relatively slow high speed connection.
