hello!

topic says it all...anyone collecting Diecast aircraft or tanks here?
Hobbymaster, Century Wings, Witty Wings, Skymax, FOV etc.?
I started collecting about two years ago with an Israeli F-15D from Witty and have since expanded my collection to about 30 models, ranging from WW2 over Korea and Vietnam to modern times, with the recent addition of a Witty Wings Aggressor F-15 and a Hobbymaster F-22 Raptor.

pictures of the collection to follow smile

so if anyone is collecting too, feel free to post...

Pleast post pics of your collection!
I am thinking of getting some diecast aircraft for my collection (currently MotoGP and WTCC only) and I am curious to see your models and your opinions of the builds and manufacturers!

I am currently interested in some of the modern jets (1/72) by Hobby Master. The pics of these models look fab but I have never seen one in person. Do you have an opinion on this company and scale?
thanks.

oh boy I see some familiar models in your collection smile
my collection has about the same size, though some different models included-as written mostly HM and Century Wings;

I have added a two IJN warriors yesterday, a D3A Val from Skymax (the Ceylon strikes one) and an A6M-3 from Witty (Rabaul Air Wing); it is interesting to see them side by side with their USN opponents, the Devastator, Dauntless and Wildcat smile

Patrocles, the HM models are great! dont expect build quality a la highly customized plastic kits with days of effort put into them, but for diecast models, they are really great ones! if you look into the Langley Raptor, be prepared to get some Testors colours and Elmer´s White Glue to fix a serious gap under the canopy on the port side, but other than that, even the Raptor is a great model!
I suggest you try and get the Vandy-1 F4J from HM to see what they are capable of doing smile

if you want some really really GREAT quality jets (F-14s, A-6s, A-7s or Blackbirds), watch for Century Wings.
I do have a Crusader and a Tomcat from them and rate them as simply amongst the best models in my collection, together with "Stinky", the new HM A-26A and the new VT-8 Gay Devastator from Skymax....

OK, thanks for the info!! Century Wings? never heard of them - I will check out their site later this week!

Coreyhkh, nice display case and collection!! I keep track of all my models document with pics that I take and model info in a binder (OCD for the win! haha) - if you have homeowner insurance this should cover you (at least my collection is covered on my policy - check with your insurance agent)
