1. How do I dim the led backlighting?

2. Has anyone made a good MS Office friendly template for making your own inserts?

BTW: Anyone considering buying the two amazing (and inexpensive) devices should do so at once.

Great hardware, especially for A-10.

Hold OSB 14 and 15, press BRT up or down to adjust.

Also you can go into your controller properties and adjust there as well and a few other tricks too.

I would love to buy some BUT I am not going to spend $80 bucks on them when money is as tight as it is right now. I can't find anyone that has them in stock until at least the end of January is what I have been told at nearly ever retailer that shows them on their websites for around $50 or so.

Panther,

As always, thank you. Happy new years.

Reschke,

I know a few spots. Let check today and I'll let you know. I spent $49.99 for them brand new.

When I went searching for these somebody mentioned creating an Excel template and taping it onto the back. Another guy said he painted the back surface flat black. And then this other guy, or gal, talked about a DisplayLink USB 7" monitor behind theirs - although I'm not clear just what was displayed. Looks like some choices in this area. The guy w/ the 7" monitor said he would prefer an 8" to fill a gap he had - I saw some 9" USB displays, some with web cams, and that's $140-$200 each, and not one was square.

I just received an email that said my MFD pair will be shipped this week.

Meanwhile, with all of the excellent advice around here I am locking up targets with the TGP and can ramp start the aircraft. Can't get my wingie to engage yet - but that's what multiplayer is for. pilot

It looks like ProVantage is selling a two-pack for 47.33, if I'm reading this correctly, although it takes 1-2 weeks to get them:

Thrustmaster MFD Cougar 2 Multifunctional Pack - 2 Flight Simulator Panels $47.33

FYI I'm still waiting on my order through ProVantage, which was placed before Christmas. Though there was a hangup with the payment sent... Which got resolved (So that might have caused a delay).

FYI:
You'll want something larger than 7" and those appear to be 5.7".

Ah, good to know. I haven't dealt with them before so I don't have any first-hand experience. Hopefully they get them to you soon.

8"are good for TM MFCD's, But remember you also must have the GPU's to drive them?? Look closely at your setup and what you want to achieve!!! Also TM MFCD cannot go on a touch screen, The shadow will interfer with Touch..

Happy to say I just got the shipment notice for my TM MFDs from Provantage - 11 days after I ordered them.

They did say it would be a while... good thing they did, 'cause I normally get shipment notices w/in 3 days from the other Internet stores.

I got mine today! Also got Target installed. I'm going to setup a profile where my HOTAS Cougar and these are as one controller.

Just ordered mine off ebay to replace my old master pilots (i will keep them for the wingman cockpit for lan play)i saw that a lot of people uses them placed in front of a monitor that displays dials and instruments as in a glass cockpit, how can i achieve that? I mean is any special software needed to do that (I'm currently flying falcon 4 / freefalcon and i intend to buy DCS A10 and Blackshark soon) or are there options in the sim to do that?.
