I read the help file included with Gotcha's GWUT program but i still have a question. Under the tab 'aircraft' where the (min, max, and default) weapon config type felds are, it sayes in the notes window
"Value corresponds with Weapon Config Types (see Tab "Weapon Config Type Info")"
Where is this 'weapon config type info' tab?
or where can i get more info on what the weapon config type's are? and what they corrispond to?
Thank you for the help, and Thanks to Gotcha, and all involved for the great mods and tools!

the weapons config types are predefined (hardcoded) weapons layouts. Under the ammo tab (not a very informative name...) these weapon packages are defined. You cannot change them unfortunately, they are fixed in the code.

The original WUT let you change them and they worked just fine for changing weapon loadouts.

The 3-D model wouldn't change, of course, but it was nice having Mavericks on my A-10s and Harriers.

Why was this considered impossible for the new versions when it worked on the old WUT?

really, how? could you send me an old WUT file where this is changed, I'll have look.

vjetten AD planet DOT com

*edit* because the Harrier and A10 are the aircraft using the LAU rocket I suspect that the old wut changed in fact the characteristics of the LAU to those of the Maverick, and not really changed the weapons type, but I am not sure.

You could do that loading by the gwut file in excel and seraching for both LAU and Maverick and copy the characteristics of the one to the other. I think you may have the same behaviour then

welcome back Gotcha, i trust your vacation was a good one...anyway...are there other settings that can be placed in to the WUT files or are most of the editable settings in there now?

oh have you seen the tree progress by Craigmire? - starting to take shape.

as far as I can see editable behaviour of entities, units and weapons are in there. Its been a while since I did that but I followed the original WUT options. I remember looking for more editable stuff but didn't find much that made sense.

the trees are great

I would change Weapon Type to 48, Number of Weapons to 1 (or 3 on hardpoints with the 3 rocket pods), and Salvo to 1. All this is based on WUT 3.5.

I would do this for all the rocket hardpoints. In-game everything seemed to work correctly. The A-10s and Harriers would fire them at the correct distance and the correct sounds and visuals would play. It was really great seeing a flight of A-10s let loose a volley at an airfield from long distances, instead of flying in and getting slaughtered trying to use rockets.
