That is fantastic....right until you get to the part with the seat cushions.....time to break out the sewing machine and sew up some olive drab covers for them cushions. Other than that its a pretty sweet setup.

I wonder why the ejection handles are bright yellow? Maybe they are easier to find?

Thanks for the compliments fellas! I'll post another update when things progress. I did make a trip to the local surplus store yesterday and found a real treasure. It is a military surplus "Mustang life raft container" strapped on like a parachute. I beleive these were worn by rotary wing pilots flying Helo's such as the Sea King, although I am not 100% positive... anyway there is no life raft, however where the life raft used to be there is a nice big compartment perfect for stuffing with foam. This looks for my purposes like a parachute and is going to be my back rest. Cost $14 dollars. Now to find/make something a seat cushion.

LOL - Geriatric Ejection Seat Doesn't look bad on the last pic, though. But why'd ya remove the rocker, makes for some relaxing simming... GES = Geriatric Ejection Seat lol. Had I left the rocker mechanism intact, I would have had to add a map pouch to hold crochet needles. Also it was too high, and the rocking motion would have interfered with accurate rudder usage not to mention it probably would have put me to sleep in the middle of copying a 9 line. I plan on painting the GES grey to look less... G. Cheers!

As you stated it would normally contain a one-man life raft, survival pack and also serves as a seat cushion as the crew seats have no additional backing. And it does a good job of looking like a parachute! Nice find.

Still would consider ACES. Amazingly Comfortable Ejection Seat? I like it! ACES II.5?

It still has the cord and wooden pull to inflate the non existant life raft and is in excellent condition.

Looks much better without the chintz! Still imagining you with a corncob pipe and a shotgun across your lap simming on your front porch though Just kidding! Kudos for a very creative and cost-effective build!
looks very modernishy-phoney-windows eighty-tabletty like
Asus P8P67 Pro Rev. 3.0 // i5 2500k @4.3 GHz with Noctua NH-D14 // nvidia gtx 780 // 8 GB DDR3 1600 //Win7 home 64 bit //450 GB VelociRaptor //Recon3D Champion
