These are not my comments in brackets btw, info taken from The Daily Beast. 1. Milwaukee, WI (Understood) 2. Fargo, ND (Duh) 3. San Francisco, CA (Weird) 4. Austin, TX (Maybe) 5. Reno, NV (It ain't Vegas) 6. Burlington, VT (Obvious) 7. Omaha, NE (Yup) 8. Boston, MA (Do I need to comment?) 9. Anchorage, AK (It's dark out, lets drink!) 10. San Diego, CA (Weird) I'm pretty sure that if a similar thing was done over here in the UK,Glasgow would be top of the list.No offence to any Scots on here, but you are some serious hard drinking b******s

san diego's on there because of the marines Here's the story: http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-s...s-to-milwaukee/To compile our first annual list of the drunkest cities in America, we looked at three things: average alcohol consumption over a month, the highest levels of binge drinking, and the places where large portions of the population suffer the dire health consequences from over-imbibing. I'd say that San Diego State and the large population of Navy has a lot to do with it even more than the Marines.

I wonder why Fargo and Omaha are on the list? I guess a lot of people drink in those cities because there's nothing else to do? You got that right. the drunkest 9 years of my life when I lived in Fargo. Maybe the Country/Cowboy Bar/Saloons also in Omaha have something to do with it.

Reminds me of the time I got stranded in Sierra Blanca Texas. It was right after HS graduation and two of my buddies and I decided to borrow one of the fathers Chevy station wagon and head out to San Antonio TX. We got as far as Sierra Blanca when we blew a piston. Had to get a tow into town and then the local yokels had fun gouging us for repairs. Took two days.
So we wandered around and wondered what the hell do people do in a god forsaken place like Sierra Blanca? Then, we discovered the town dump. I have never in my life seen a bigger pile of whiskey and booze bottles. We amused ourselves by throwing rocks and breaking glass, but couldn't make a dent in that monument to drunkenness.

WE'RE NUMBER 1, WE'RE NUMBER 1!
I'm doing my part to keep our end up. Er, something like that.
