People are out there on the game, but ongoing games don't show when you search. The only games that will show are those listed as public and sitting in the lobby. If you don't see any games, open up a room. People pop in pretty quickly.

Hello all,
New guy here. I flew sims way back (Chuck Yeaher's Air Combat, various Janes including Longbow) then got out of it for quite some time. Back into it now. Running WOP and love that and just bought A:AA over the weekend. Took me until today to get it running though. Having a bit of a time getting used to it. Need to have some training mode where I'm not so immediately attacked. Got to learn to fly it some. Wish there was a 'training' mode like in WOP. Is there and I'm just not seeing it?
Anyway, glad to be back and looking forward to getting into the game more.

Methos, there is something similar to a training mode in, in German it´s called Freiflug=Freeflight in english. You can choose your helo, daytime with or without wingman and with or without enemy helos, weapons and so on.

Sirs,
does one know, where I can switch off constantly the default checkmark at "Save password" at the login screen?

Yep been playing it on my laptop since day one, works great, I have a core 2 duo 2.4 ghz and geforce fx 9800m 1 gig video card, fame runs flawlessly at 1920 x 1280...the game really likes geforce cards, been hearing guys with ati cards having freezing up/ game crashing problems ..
Why do people think flight sims are nerdy???

Hi Guys
I purchased this game yesterday from YUPLAY and updated it ok, but I never recieved an activation key? Today when I executed the programme it doesnt run because its not activated. Ive sent an email off looking for support. Has anybody else had activation problems? and should I need an activation key for this game. AAA is shown in my purchases no probs. Any thoughts on this appreciated.
Kurtz
**Edit** its working again now, I just wasnt logged into YUPLAY, but I thought I read this game could be played offline? Still dont have an activation key though.

Finally got my copy, impressed. My XBOX copy finally arrived in the mail and I can say that I'm quite impressed. Runs great, looks great and has enough depth to make it a challange to play (ie, flying about effectively is something that takes some time to master in a combat situation).
The single biggest downer for me is that the enemy really isn't that lethal (the biggest single source of failures is when a objective you are protecting gets overwhelmed, most of the enemy fire doesn't seem to do a whole lot of damage). Even against SAMs in free flight mode, it's really a case of swerving a bit and shooting a Hellfire back at the SAM. Maybe I'm just too used to EECH KA50 and LB2, but you really don't do a lot of tactical flying to avoid insta-death from a 2S6 Tunguska lurking over the next rise.
Despite the general depreciation of Local Coop (pilot/gunner on same XBOX only) I fired it up with a mate and had a great time (I strongly recommend that the better player takes the pilot job). In a weird way it makes up for the lack a enemy lethality when you are coordinating between two people. By the end of it we were pretty much right hand/left hand lining up rocket runs and finishing off stragglers with the 30mm. Yes it would be good to have a box out for the Gunner's Thermals/DTV, but when you accept that the pilot is there to get the gunner into position for the shot, it all makes sense. It's a bit like a three-legged race with High Explosive involved.
I really hope they release some kind of mission editor/mod support for this (PC). There is really some potential provided the tools are available.

I agree Colonel... played the heck out of A:AA, and though the co-op is fun and a lot more stable than Wings of Prey, we are already tired with the limited squad ops co-op maps... I've gone back and really appreciate EECH and all it's modded glory for what it is, a great sim ( and dynamic campaign!).... now if I can get the multiplayer sorted out and do some co-op flying... they have a great graphics engine with the Dagor 3 engine on A:AA, and I've been saying it all along, please give us a complex sim WITH great ( terrain/ tree) graphics next... well we are waiting for Combat Helo, but I'm still waiting to see how their Leadwerks graphics engine pumps out the visuals, I know Tricubic are hard at work on CH, and it shows in their blog updates....
