The big hurdle: Burma is about done. All the cities are populated. All port cities. All airports (except for the runways themselves). Some of the bridges. Sometimes you see something so nice you have to snap a picture. A still cannot capture how they look in motion but you know that.
Here are some things a I was final checking some locations.
Some new paint for an old model. We have to make this more round and remap it but here's the CNAC skin. I was just using her to look around. Nice pit from Kesselbrut makes it a nice ride.
Checking some repaints at Tak
I got bored so I flew the AVG raid on Tak to watch the Ground Object Ki-27's explode. New pit from Wolf.
Tar paper roof.
Nice airstrip at Chittagong, India.
Testing the area between Myitkyina and Imphal. I guess that's Phase Three. You can take off from Chittagong (later inhabited by P-38's and Hurricanes) for the run to Imphal...or you can fly a Ki-43 to knock it down. Our story is from the Ki-43's seat.
Just a nice shot during scouting for locations.
Then you come across things that are really pretty like this shot of a Shan Village near Chiang Mai. I put it in because a friend of mine lives there. Then I went to look at how it turned out.
Sometimes you have to come around for another look. We did not intend this but you just find things in a new map. (It's amazing, Edward.)
We finally repainted this old flea bag. It just irritated the hell out of me.
Non-stop until it's done. The map will be finished up to February 1942 with the rest added before Phase Two. We have guns that fire backwards and ships that won't sink and a Buddha floating in the air. We have to repaint the Ki21, haven't seen the Ki48 yet, want to refine the battleships and Kido Butai BUT...honestly, we can see the release coming finally.
I did not know it would cost this much or take this long. But I also did not know it would be this good.
