This is a very high energy band. I saw them live once and they about blew my eardrums out! (still ringing)
This is one I really like, Workin' for a Livin'. Man, Huey can play the mouth organ (harmonica)
My name's Huey Lewis and maybe, for the first time, you just heard THE NEWS!

I really cant pick a single favorite song of theirs. They are such a talented band with so many hits so it still kind of perplexes me how they just seemed to drop off the radar after the 80's.

They were the first concert I ever went to - they were opening for Heart. That was in like '80 or '81, I think, up in Anchorage, AK.
I can't help but think of Bobcat Goldthwait's line about Huey Lewis back when they were a hot musical act, where Bobcat said something like, "If you saw Huey Lewis walking down the street, you wouldn't think, 'there goes one of the hottest rock stars today,' you'd think, 'hey, isn't that a friend of my dad?'"

No single drop of rain feels it is responsible for the flood.
The cover band I'm in used to play Working for a Living, but when we thought about how many people in the audience were out of work we dropped it. Switched it out for Heart and Soul.

Yeah. I wondered what happened to them. So much talent. Like I said, very high energy. I like that in a band.
So now, I Want a New Drug. Huey Lewis and The News!

There's a whole drama behind that. Huey Lewis & The News were originally supposed to do the main theme song for "Ghostbusters" but were replaced with Ray Paker by the producers for whatever reason.

Just listened to "Doing It All For My Baby". Great song.
