Wicked shots. If only i could fly the damn things! I was so uselessly crap at Lock on that i think i need to stay in my ww2 era avionics style aircraft smile to many buttons and weapons sytems type stuff that i found myself never actually flying, well i was flying..but not FLYING if you get my drift. The sim certainly looks very good...has it got an Fw 190 A-4? sigh

Is this the sim worth getting? Better than Blackshark?

A-10C is awesome and totally worth getting.

Is it better than Black Shark? Hmmm...loaded question! A-10C is a further iteration of the DCS "engine", so it has more features and improvements, but I wouldn't say it's "better". <speculation>Black Shark may even get a patch later to roll in improvements made during A-10C development.</speculation>

Let's just say that the two sims offer a different experience and are difficult to contrast/compare, but if you liked the detail of Black Shark, you won't be disappointed with A-10C!

Stunning. It's hard to believe that's it's only a beta.

Yep, VERY beautiful for a beta. As others have pointed out, my first screenie could pretty much be a photo of two A-10s flying on an overcast day.

Great shots Frey! Tough to pick a favorite, they're all good, but if I had to, I'd go with number 023.

d'oh!
duh

way too much expansion on the comment of an overcast day...I was trying to think of areas where the humidity is 90-100% to explain all of that BLOOM in the images...like Malaysia or sumfink! LOL

Bono, I have an i7 920 2.7Ghz, 6GB RAM. ATI Radeon HD 4800 graphics card. Steady-state HD. It runs the sim well in the quality you see in the screenies. Cost me around 2000 euros with a good monitor.
