Probably posted somewhere on Sim HQ but maybe some have not heard of this particular show. If you can get BBC iplayer then you may as well watch something decent. BoB Iplayer Simply amazing and one of the best celebration/tributes programmes on the BoB I've had the pleasure of watching.

I thought First Light was great and the aerial stuff was really well done.

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

Yeah it must have been some of the bomber shots and not the 109's because if I remember correctly they were not 109's in the original BoB film. Like in The Battle of the Bulge film they didn't have Tigers and it stands out a mile.

But still 109s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispano_Aviaci%C3%B3n_HA-1112 The engines were obviously different, but that's about it. Not quite as cool as an actual Messerschmitt Me-109, but I wouldn't say no to the opportunity to fly (or sit in) a Buchon.

Not available in my area...must be a PAL thing. Either that or a copyright issue where only people in the UK can view it.

Sorry to those that can't get to see this.
It was just done so well, light hearted in all the right places and some of the interviews were very good.
The summation at the end quite well done I reckon.
Lots of up to date Spit and Hurri footage, BoB memorial flight and just an all round great show.
You guys can't get in with a proxy?
It's well worth the effort.

Ahh, here you go. Just a small piece but it gives you an idea of what they got up to. You tube comes through again, not great quality though but good enough. Youtube

I think it was the Kittyhawk-like air intake that threw me

There's potentially an interesting BoB program tonight on BBC2 at 20:00 presented by James Holland who is actually an historian and author. This one is from the other side and should be an interesting analysis. As the blurb states:
'Battle of Britain: The Real Story James Holland explores the Battle of Britain from the German point of view. The author focuses on the tactics, technology and intelligence available to both nations, and examines how they decided to use their resources. He also gains access to first-hand testimonies from German pilots, and diaries and documents that reveal a previously unknown side to this confrontation' This one seems to be available via Usenet; use Binsearch for an NZB and GrabIt - or another combination of links and software - to download it.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
