I have a challenge for some of you designer creative types, winner will get a design made up and sent to them.

We want a simple slot-together demonstrator representation of the pilot's dash and sun-shield, or CP/G dash; something that can be made up from thick cardboard that can slot together and be placed on a tabletop.

No surface detail is necessary, just a diagram to show how pieces are cut, Autocad is ideal but AI or bitmap formats with full dimensions are acceptable. The cockpit/shroud will be cut using a computer controlled water-jet process then laminated on both sides with a full colour image to make it look the part.

The final "slotpit" will be colour printed on both sides of a plastic foam material that can be slotted together for demonstrations and also used at home to impress the wife, girlfriend or mistress.

Designs can be submitted to richard at tricubicstudios dot com

If you're really lucky we might even throw in a t-shirt.

Hi Richard,

Some questions...

1) What is the time frame for submissions?

2) Is this to fit over a monitor (of what size?) or is it more of a 'mini cockpit' model?

3) What is the overall size you have in mind?

cheers,
Greg

More of a mini-cockpit, for display purposes. With a projector or large screen place a few feet in front. Size, close to life size but can be smaller. AD will have the approx dimensions on that.

Large enough to give the impression of the cockpit sun-shield and tops or all of the MFDs.

Time frame: Closing date for submissions November 30th
