In 32 bit mode and full screen mode, I cannot access the tactical reference or munitions screens in AF (although I can do so in 16 bit with no problem). I have read the suggestions to modify the Anti-Aliasing settings and have tried different things to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try this:

Look in your AF install folder.
See if there's a file there named BFOps.cfg
If so, open it with notepad and add this line: set g_bForceSoftwareGUI 1
If not open notepad, type this: set g_bForceSoftwareGUI 1
Save as [AF install folder]\BFOps.cfg
Make sure it doesn't save as BFOps.cfg.txt
If it does, remove the .txt

Unfortunately that file is in the folder as you wrote it.

To add to the steps, make sure you do not hide known extensions in your folder options. Or you will think it's saved as a .cfg but secretly it's a .txt file.
