1. Introduce video ref's to HELP the onfield ref. There is far too much at stake in todays modern game to continue to ignore the very real benefits third umpires/video refs have brought to other sports. 2. Change the yellow card system so that you are penalised straight away. Send the buggers off for 10 minutes. That would really open games up. Couple with number 1 for added "security". 3. STAMP out diving! This single "feature" is a blight on modern poof ball! Make the penalty for diving severe. Your first deliberate dive, instant red card. Your second, 2 match suspension. Your third, life time suspension. You want to get serious about cleaning this sport up, get serious with the penalties. 4. ENFORCE disciplin. A player touches a ref and its instant lifetime ban! Its absolutely disgusting how players crowd around refs. Dont forget, introduce video refs and a lot of the rubbish calls will go away. Kids watch these over paid buffoons swearing and carrying on like rabid dawgs and then they copy their hero's! Absolutely disgusting! In fact, the only team I havent seen carrying on like a pack of pricks is South Korea...but that could be a cultural thing where their society still respects the show of respect? 5. Get the bloody coaches off the paddock! Another disgusting feature, some fat has been coach prancing up and down the sideline yelling abuse at the match officials! Get the bastards off the field and in to a box! Chances of Sep Blatter doing anything about anything? About zero percent! Regards Mailman

I can't believe I am the first one to ask this, What's poof ball?

I think it's a backhanded term referring to soccer.
Something tells me he firmly believes that soccer is best played on a pitch in your hometown, within reasonable walking distance of a place to get a beer and by guys who lift and throw nail kegs for entertainment.
Kinda how Texans feel about rodeos these days. When I was a kid, there was none of this Kevlar vest stuff when riding bulls, or what looks like a hockey mask. If you got thrown and the bull impaled you or stomped you into a blood puddle, you DIED. None of this preserving of a gene pool stupid enough to get on the back of a enraged bull.

With a name like Tuff Head Man or whatever, he shouldn't need a helmet.

Get every professional footballer to give a weeks wage every month and we would see an end to world poverty.... I'm serious.

I don't think there are any rule changes that can make poof ball watchable. Like baseball and nascar I just don't understand the appeal...

Eliminate offsides. If you are quick enough to get behind everyone, and they get the ball to you, good for you! If the goalie kicks the ball out of bounds, whether over the sidelines or the endlines, corner kick. If you are so "injured" that you have to flop around on the ground like a hooked carp, you must leave the field immediately and not return. You may substitute for the hooked carp. If you run out of replacements, tough titty...I agree one thousand percent on the red/yellow card suggestions.

I think they started wearing the hockey masks after Bodacious smashed Tuff Hedeman's face to a pulp.
Wheels Hedeman's a twit. I've met him and Ty Murray both, didn't like either one of them. pfunk

The offside rule is there to prevent strikers from lingering directly in front of the opposite goal and wait for some long pass. Compromise...No offsides in the box.
