Anyone remember the show Fawlty Towers? What a hoot!

Always started with a still pic of the hotel and every show had a different jumble of Fawlty Towers in the sign.

imho, that was Cleese's best effort.

Yep. It's amazing to realise that there are only 12 episodes in total!

On a related note...

When my housing estate was being built the builders placed large 2 foot high letters (think of the Hollywood sign and you get the idea) on the verge at the entrance to the site.

The builders were BRYANT HOMES

some local comedy genius lost the M and re-arranged the letters to

HORNY BEAST

The very next day the letters dissappeared........

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

One time I saw an ep I suddenly realised I'd not seen before, and was dying of laughter for the sight gag: Basil's giant gangly frame uprooting a tree and beating his Mini with it!!!!! Couldnt stop laughing!
