It's been "nearly done" for years.

The redeeming feature is that it probably will be very good when it is finally released.

Whichever year that will be.

I have it on good authority that you'll be playing it by the end of the month. Next month at the very latest.

Oh, and it's brilliant. wink

I'm definately looking forward to this.

And the game concept video was enlightening for me.

I have them all, and glad of it. Each installment improves on the previous one and the support from the company is excellent. MadDog, the video tutorials that are included are apparently quite good and demonstrate more clearly the various aspects of the sim and how they work in practice.

Quote:
Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) and Panther Games (www.panthergames.com) have released a Google Earth tour of the battlefields featured in their highly anticipated wargame, Command Ops: Battles from the Bulge. The tour features battle locations with descriptions, in-game map overlays over the present-day satellite terrain, battle lines with German counterattack objectives, and more!

Pricier than expected, to the surprise of the guys over at Matrix Forums. I believe it is about $80. Probably well worth it, but putting it beyond some people's means.

Putting it beyond their 'preference'... I have next to no income, but have never found a problem with saving what little spare I have to purchase those little luxuries I want... though it can take a while...
All about priorities... but then I don't buy 20 titles a year, which I don't think are all that 'good', at $20-30 either...

I try demos (and one is being prepared for BFTB from the final code), and I select one or two 'premium' quality titles to invest my time in - the money is secondary at that point.

I bought httr and cota but will pass on this due to the price.

Since I have the bulge all ready in an SSG game ( korsun pocket) and an HPS game title the desire

to rush out and buy the latest scenario from Panther is of no interest to me.

Time will tell if the new pricing strategy will bite them in the rear. But considering that they

raised the prices of their back catalogs to help them finish this title I fear this may be the

last game we see from Panther.

The high price may lead many people to "try" before they buy and when you consider many people

saying they wont buy the game this could be a bust for them.
