Gents-

I'm spending a year in Spain, and would hope to take my rig with me. (It's a wee monster--- not quite Alienware, but close).

I've got a toughpower 1200W.

Is there any adapter capable of handling the transfer to Spanish (European) style power plugs/voltage/etc.

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

Usually there is an option (a small switch) on Power Supply unit to switch from 110 V to 220 V,so you only need a new cable.

Any PSU worth its salt has active PFC, in which case it won't have that voltage switch. It doesn't need it-just plug and play. And since that's a 1200W PSU, I'd be more surprised if it didn't.

In that case, all you need is a cable that has the usual PSU plug on one end, and whatever plug Spain uses on the other.

Thanks fellahs. I'll check the manual/tech specs on my power supply.

I just have nightmares of that first plug in, loud explosion..... smile

Now how about power strips for my other gear? (monitor, joystick, external drive). I'll check the net I suppose.
