Hello Guys,



I have finally uploaded at Mission 4 Today a bunch of dynamic RAF modded campaigns:



1) RAF Battle Over Europe campaigns modded: featuring the Typhoon Mk Ib, Spitfire Mx XIVc & LF XIVe, Tempest Mk V 11 Lbs & 13 Lbs, Mosquito B Mk IV & B Mk XVI as flyable aircraft over Normandy and the Ardennes.

2) More significantly, a major update to my RAF campaigns, featuring the first DGen campaigns where you fly over a modded map! In this case there is a Battle of Britain sub-campaign, where you can fly the Spitfire Mk I, and a Fortress Europe 1943 sub-campaign where you can fly the Typhoon Mk Ib and the Spitfire Mk XII, over the Battle of Britain summer map by Fly_Zo. I also adapted Compans' textures to that map.

As you can see here, new campaign briefings for the Battle of Britain, and the modded map appears on the left: you can see land for the U.K., instead of a tiny island on the original Normandy map. This is the Battle of Britain summer map by Fly_Zo.



Unfortunately due to DGen limitations, most missions will take place over enemy territorry, which is odd for the Battle of Britain... sorry for that. However in the air you will not notice it, and when you get back to base, at least you will have the feeling to fly over the Channel.

For the 1943 sub-campaign "Fortress Europe", that is not a problem: you will take the offensive into enemy territorry, flying the Typhoon Mk Ib or the Spitfire Mk XII:





The briefing screen also shows the modded map, the first time this is made possible and released for DGen:









I have also arranged for you to fly the Hurricane Mk IId over the desert:

(For this to work you need the payware add-on Battle Over Europe, as well as the suitable EnjoyR patch and a modded game with the required flyable aircraft...).

Doesn't work for me.
If I choose your Generic fighter campaignwhen I click next I get a black screen and have to ctrl+alt+del out of the game.
I Hav absolutely loads of campaigns, BOE, COE, TLD, Fall Blau, WOW, WOJ, WOC.............etc, etc, and they all work fine. A shame it seems to just be yours, cos it looks like a nice campaign and I would have liked to fly it, oh well, not to worry, I have enough to get on with

Hi mate, please post a DGenERROR.log, at least the last few lines of the file, which you may find at the root folder of your game.

Also, please let me know: do you have a modded game? Which game version do you play and do you have all the mods required in the read-me? Did you also install EnjoyR patch for BOE?
These are absolutely necessary for these campaigns to work.

I use some of the files of Boelcke's Channel Front modded campaign, so you can fly the Spitfire Mk XII in 1944 too.

















Fly_Zo's map is also used for 2 more sub-campaigns: Battle of France and the first sweeps over France in 1941.



For the Battle of France I now use the Fairey Battle by Ranwers available at AAA:

Unfortunately DGen doesn't generate an error file when this happens so I cant see or send you the log.
I run a modded install (UI 1.11) but I also have a load of other mods in there too.
I have uninstalled ane re-installed BOE. I have installed enjoyrs patch for BOE+TLD+Ostfornt (as I have all of these addons) I also installed boelke's Channel front campaign and skinpack, did I miss anything?

Oh and BTW the Generic Pacific campaigns work fine.

Did you install all the required planes that are needed besides those in UI 1.1?

Can you fly all the listed required planes in the QMB?

Also please let me know exactly which sub-campaign and which plane caused trouble to you.

In terms of content if you have BOE + latest EnjoyR patch installed + latest Channel front modded campaign + JSGME, you can use this work successfully.

Also please check that you can load the map in FMB after enabling the -normandy_map mod with JSGME.

Then we can narrow down the problem and sort it out.

Yep I have all the required aircraft installed, and can fly them in QMB fine, the normandy map also loads fine in the FMB.
but I still get the problem. everything seems fine until it starts loading the static objects, it gets to 89% and just stops.
surely I can't be the only one with this problem?

Static objects?

Could you try to start the campaign on the stock Normandy map, after disabling the normandy-map mod with JSGME? I did not know, but the map mod may require modded objects.

Also please try in version 4.09mb. I tested only in 4.09mb.

Hum, I have a question:

Where O where can I order/purchase the BOE payware?

I looked a few places, but couldn't find anything.

Incidentally, would installing it somehow mess up my current IL-2 1946 installation (updated as per the sticky in this forum, with EnjoyR patch and so forth)?

To clarify:

I have 1946 with EnjoyR for No Addons (without the italian campaign fix).

Given the name of the EnjoyR patch, I imagine if I obtain and install BOE it will do Something Bad.

What, then, should I do to fix up my IL-2 install, after installing BOE (assuming I can get it at all, of course)?

BOE can be purchased on the net at Just Flight, if my memory is correct. Google is your best friend for it...

There is absolutely no problem to install BOE over a 1946 install with EnjoyR patches, on the contrary (whether game is modded or not, no problem at all).

After you install BOE, just install EnjoyR Patch for BOE. And you will be fine.

This update features new textures for the Normandy map, by Compans and GilB57. These are Compans' French textures with trees and bumpification by GilB57:















Upon request I have also made a couple of German campaigns for the Bf-109E-1, E-3 and E-4 during the Battle of France and the Battle of England:





So you can also fight over the Channel on the German side. This is included as a bonus, and is available as sub-campaigns within the German Fighter Center career.
