In another thread we were asked who our favorite James Bond stars are, but now I ask you which are your 5 favorite scenes from the Bond movies!
Never Say Never - opening hostage rescue, involving a quiet raid that goes loud with possibly the first flashbang to appear in the movies (well at least big budget mainstream), and a rapelling window entry with SMG blasting the badguys...
For Your Eyes Only - one of perhaps dozens of skiing chases in Bond movies, IMO this one is the best! Biathelon marksmen, alpine ski jumps, motorbikes with ice spikes, and some funny bits that don't seem out of place...classic stuff for Roger Moore.
Octopussy - the microjet taking off from a road, flying through the hangar just as it explodes...pure win, and not an ounce of CGI in sight! Awesome stuff for a kid who didn't even know planes that small existed, much less that fast!
Casino Royale - black and white...brutal hand to hand in a porcelane public bathroom...one of them is gonna die violently, and its not altogether clear who...that one scene alone reset the Bond series, making Bond falible, and vulnerable to dangerous enemies, in stark contrast to Moore in a crocodile boat, cracking jokes for the audience in a simpler time.
The Spy Who Loved Me - a white Lotus Esprit, chased by a "Black Helicopter" gunship piloted by a beautiful woman, suddenly jumps off the pier right into the water! Sure, its pure cheeze and not at all realistic, but while I knew it wasnt a real world at 7 years old, I also knew it was megacool!
There are many other scenes and movies worthy, but for me those jump to mind as very memorable.
Edit: Then there is Thunderball, which doesn't count IMO, because to me the entire movie is memorable! I never saw it until perhaps 2006, so it was fresh for me. Very cool ending to the movie, with the scuba jumpers, and the baloon extraction! Sharks, nukes, Vulcan stealth bombers (sort of!)...

POLITICS, WAR, ECONOMY, CONTROVERSY! and other heated discussions and debates in the PWEC sub-forum at the bottom of this forum main page. See you there!
Goldfinger, when Bond is strapped to the table and about to cut in half with a laser. "So Goldfinger, you expect me to talk?" "No Mister Bond, I expect you to die!" Erp!!
And the none where the gangsters break into Bond's hotel room, grab his woman and throw her out the 8th floor window .... then she lands in the swimming pool and is okay. "I say, good shot" "I didn't know there was a pool there."
Out of ammo Out of energy Out of ideas Down to harsh language

The Spy Who Loved Me
The scene with Bond in his white Lotus Espirit being chased by that really hot henchwoman in the helicopter and then culminating with him going underwater and destroying the helicopter with a vertically launched missile.
For Your Eyes Only
The snow skiing sequence where Bond is being chased by multiple henchmen while firing their rifles.
Thunderball
The huge underwater confrontation between the good guys and bad guys all in scuba gear and armed with spearguns!
From Russia with Love
The motorboat chase near the end of the film where Bond fires at the floating oil canisters in the water and creates a wall of fire which destroys the pursuing motorboats.

That's a Mango tree, Sir!
Oh right! LOL
I have no excuse for my error either since I saw Dr. No on bluray only a couple of months ago!

In Diamonds Are Forever, when Tiffany Case reenters the room as a brunette after leaving moments earlier as a blond, Bond makes a remark about "cuffs matching collars"!
The parkour chase scene in Casino Royale. INCREDIBLE the first time I saw it. I got Casino Royale on BR yesterday, and sat down just to watch the two opening scenes, first the black and white scene from Prague, then the chase at the construction site. And I think You Know My Name by Chris Cornell is one of the very best Bond songs ever!
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

you do KNOW she was dubbed right ? becouse her voice sucked......or i mean was too foreign for american audience.I listened to her in the interview and i found her real voice sexier then the dubbed movie one.

Great song by a great singer! Too bad the song for "Quantum of Solace" blew massive chunks.

both theme song sucked ! QoS was the worst thought. they better get their act toguether in the next song, otherwise i fear will be hearing a new hit from lady GaGa.
OHMSS: The ski chase scene with Blofeld, pure awesomeness!
Gotta agree with that. One of my favourite Bond movies.

"From Russia with Love" The fight on the Orient Express.
"Tomorrow Never Dies" Bond kills Dr. Kaufmann after pleading for his life " Im just a professional doing a job" Bond "So am I"
