Although we would like to include every vehicle and weapon system currently deployed in the Afghan theatre, it's not practical or necessary to do so. Our focus has been on creating the 'target' vehicles used by Iran. The aim here has been to produce the vehicles that constitute the core elements that would be used in a mechanized offensive. I got some old reference photos from my tour in Iraq: http://562.50megs.com/VBS1/res/

Thanks, Looking superb. Any Infantry to show us? oh, and will you be adding UAVs, Drones etc?
I have built an infantry model. It's ummm not universally appreciated. We're still on the look-out for a soldier model that fits our specification. UAVs aren't something we have discussed. Cheers

Sheesh, you'd think that would be the easy part. I like 'em. Can we have those? Do they come in Taliban and Warlord? We've looked at loads of (not very good) models offered online, still looking for something suitable. It's one of those ongoing project concerns as we have a feet in two genres, CAS and ground pounding, but the focus is in the air. The best indie license assets I've seen are over the poly budget by a large margin and no LODs. We continue looking. My wife suggested an EVE Online like experience where you spend an hour carefully crafting your characters looks, then in game all you see is a thumbnail of the character you built. I think she was taking the urine.

One small note, That M-1 is a marine M-1A1 not an M-1A2, the CITV turret is missing and the smoke grenade dischargers are different... Not to be a smartass but just for clarification (Note also that marine Corps M-1A1's have been carrying or are carrying ATGM jammers on the position where the Army M-1A2 has its CITV turret.)

Staffan Thanks for pointing those problems out. I'm a stickler for accuracy but I can't promise they'll be fixed any time soon, as the *art department is a tad busy right now. Cheers *me

Will other choppers be in the air? I'm thinking in Blackhawks, Chinooks and USMC Hueys and Cobras.

Hei Guys, What model building software do you guys use for the Sim? I am more than happy to volunteer myself to help out if required! This is a Chinook I have been working on for FSX. Cheers Rich

Will other choppers be in the air? I'm thinking in Blackhawks, Chinooks and USMC Hueys and Cobras. We have discussed the possibility of including other helicopters in follow-up products. We'd like to do a flyable Blackhawk or AH-6/MH-6 in the future. Presently we're a bit snowed-under to consider AI aircraft. What model building software do you guys use for the Sim? This is a Chinook I have been working on for FSX. That's a very nice model and a generous offer. At the moment it's important for us to stay focused on the Apache and achieve the simulators basic goals before we look to other possible aircraft. Cheers
