According to what I have heard, Cockpit builders can keep their F-16 pits, but might need more room for another model like F-18, MIG-29 or SU-33. You can find pictures all over the web. ;-)

I wish they just say if they are working on F4 with a new graphic engine, or its a new aircraft with the the same engine.
F4 AF is IMO perfect, it´s just the graphics and the 2d clickable cockpit separated from the 3d cockpit that are killing me in immersion. Just by having one view with click cockpit and another with the 3d cockpit make you realise how old the sim is. Just upgrade the engine, which i beleive its quite a lot of work, and i will gladly buy it.
If its another aircraft, even if its carrier ops, with the same graphic engine, i wouldn´t be interested on it.
Heck, if it were for me, they could use the graphic engine of IL-2 and work on the colour palette to make it look more like F4, and that would perfect for me. smile. Graphic engines of SoW BoB, seems it would be even better! biggrin

Carrier ops!

That would be awesome. I was a little disappointed when I saw they were doing an A10 sim, since it was in Lockon. Probably still buy it, but carrier ops & F-18 would have been something.

Yes, it's been like eternity since Jane's F/A-18. Nothing compares with the thrill of night time carrier landing.

All I know is I can not get it to work on my machine.

Video stops responding and reboots my machine.

From LP's site...

Some systems may have problems running the introduction video. If Falcon 4.0 Allied Force fails to run, create a NEW shortcut to FalconAF.exe using Windows Explorer (go to C:\Program Files\Lead Pursuit\Battlefield Operations\ folder, find FalconAF.exe, right click on it and select 'Create Shortcut'). Right click on the newly shortcut, select the 'Properties' menu command and add ' -nomovie' to the very end of the Target field. Target field should now read:

"C:\Program Files\Lead Pursuit\Battlefield Operations\FalconAF.exe" -nomovie

(notice that the -nomovie part is outside the quoted part). Click on the OK button to finish. Now use the new shortcut to run Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.

I think it's pretty clear that LP has run its course. Many of us Falconeers never supported them nor their lineage of Viper Ops anyhow. There are much more promising events on the horizen.

Ah Sherlock

An old...friend.

Well I'll leave the VO business alone. No sense in getting banned over here things being a tad UTAR as they are.

As for what's coming, nothing you dont already know about: the hardcore DCS A10, a new Falcon, Combat Helo (AH64D).

Unless you know for a fact that LP is doing anything useful that we would care about that's it in my little world.

Well the only thing I think there doing is sitting back collecting a retirement check from the people who pay $19.95 a copy for this old Sim?

LP is not just sitting around; I have to find out what all I can talk about before I post something. The next release will not be what you expect, but welcomed for some...

They actaully have two "projects" in the works right now - in case you give a darn...

All this teasing... it hurts, I tell ya. It hurts.

I just got back into Falcon4 AF after a long hiatus (Black Shark's great, but without a DC it has limited longevity for me).

And the one thing that always hits me is that when all considered, if Falcon had more frequent graphical improvements and rolled along with DX updates, I would likely never need another sim. It's really THAT good.

But the graphics at this point are still a little jarring.

Any news of an update from Lead Pursuit has me salivating, but it's certainly time to move the graphics engine forward (is this even possible with Falcon code?).

Good for ya then. Charlie is more likely because of more info. Unless it's a tuned down arcade version aimed at the bigger mass. that case don't bother.
