Just getting started on Il2 1946. I would love to fly over Italy and take part in campaigns there, I know the area near Pescara well and am just starting to research the Gustav line and what happened there in the later years of the war. Has anyone created any campaigns that take part around there?

I have used the search function and can Boelcke has made some campaigns recently, one of which is Lago di Garda. I have some work to do yet on getting all the addons installed though!

I enjoyed playing PhilK's "The Fighting Cocks", a 16-mission P-47 campaign based on sorties flown by the 65th Fighter Squadron, 57th Fighter Group in the Gothic Line campaign, Italy 1944. You start flying missions from Corsica against targets on mainland Italy and then eventually fly from a base on the peninsula itself. Here's a link to the campaign at Mission 4 Today:

I've flown both. PhilK is both masterful and resourceful.
