Hi, being a SH veteran(maybe not WinkNGrin), I decided to finally try GWX3 for SH3. I'm very impressed, and wondering if there's a good "supermod" for SH4 that's of the same caliber as GWX3.
Thanks! biggrin

EDIT: 70 views, so I guess there aren't any Really good mods for SH4.
What about Real Fleet Boat and Trigger Maru? Which one's closer to GWX3?

Operation Monsun

Its for the addon, I do not know if you have that ?

Puts you in charge of various German subs, and puts you in the SHIII campaign (in SHIV)
Great mod imo.

Good fun hunting in my type 7B from Keil.
Never really got into the Pacific.

edit, you could say that OM is GWX 3.0 as it recreates the entire battle in the same area you play in SHIII.

I do beleive though that the other 2 mods you mention are the more popular ones.

Thanks, but right now I'm looking for something that improves the realism of SH4 like GWX3 does for SH3 wave. BTW, I do have the U-boat add-on.

Then you've 2 choices:
Trigger Maru (TM) - a realism mod, but leans towards giving the player a challenge rather than making it strictly historical.
The other realism mod is Real Fleet Boat (RFB) which I think went the route of strict historical accuracy. I don't use RFB myself, so take my words with a pinch of salt.
You'll also want Run Silent Run Deep (RSRD) which is a campaign mod. The author overhauled the campaign layers to reflect historical shipping patterns & I think actual naval engagements. There are different versions for stock game, TM & RFB mods. I use this too & I highly recommend this.

Thanks so much, I'll probably go with RFB and RSRD(I'm really getting these acronyms!). wink
