I could've written that. My list may be longer than his.

Amen to that, dispite a large backlog of unfinished games I'm still tempted to buy Bioshock2 for heavens sake. lol

I only buy DRM-free Games these days - really cuts down on clutter. And on a 128GB SSD install space is limited anyway, so if a new game comes in it has to be good enough to replace another one.

I thought I was the only one too. You guys talk about all these games. Then I buy them a year or two later, LOL only to play for a little while then off to the next one. I'm at the last scene in MSG4 and I prolly shouldn't have read the walkthrough where the guys said "be prepared to waste and hour of your life for the last cutscene. Great I can't play that at night when I have to wake up in the morning.

On a related note, I always find it both amusing and fascinating how many flight simmers constantly complain about the lack of flight sim titles being released while at the same time complaining that they never have enough time to dedicate to flight sims.

Panzer, how might sim depth contribute to your observation?

When I got started in flight sims, there was IL2, where one button started the engine and I went to fly. Then there was Lock-On, I think I had to press PageUp twice to start the engines there, but the avionics had much greater depth to learn. Still not overwhelming though and I was quickly in the mission.

With MSFS, when I started it was pretty light weight. I could have fun and fly in 30 to 40 minutes. Then near where I left off FS2004... it took me 30 minutes just go through the pre-flight and startup on my Boeing 727. A full flight required hours, I was even doing real paperwork on my routes and real world weather simulations.

I downloaded the manual for Black Shark, watched the startup and weapons depth on YouTube. It's up there.

I never played many early flight sims, like the Janes or others from that era. How did they compare? One button to fly and another to fire? Or were they switchology studies?

This article should be about game makers not making YEARLY games. Madden 10 is sooooo broken right now, due to the latest patch, that we should be able to sue them for unfair practices or something. Why is it so broken? Because they won't be fixing their screwup in patch 2. Why? Because they have to go work on screwing up Madden 11.
