Ok, so the first movie is a cult classic and the second movies only saving grace was the hottie who spent 95% of the movie naked, but I gotta be honest here...apart from the crap acting and the sub par special affects I actually found the ST3 quite enjoyable.

Ok, it was a million miles from the class of the first movie BUT if your only baseline was the second movie then number three is pretty damned good.

One of the surprising highlights was the Holy chick. Loved the "kill him, its the wrong god" line smile

And it did bring some new twists to the original story, with the brain bug playing a role and that planet sized bug who the air marshall thought was god.

All in all, not a bad movie if you can put aside all the poor acting.

Is that the one they brought back Casper from the Sci Fi channel movies and added Jolene "Boom Boom" Blaylock?
I thought that was ok, but I love the original.
This will tick some people off: liked the first movie more than the book it was *very* loosely based on.
Haven't seen the 2nd one for some reason. It's not like me to miss sci fi B-movies.

Boom Boom, to me, seemed to be miscast. Maybe its cause Ive now stereo typed her in Star Trek or perhaps it was the lack of sonic showers in ST3?

Raw, do yourself a favour and ignore the second movie. Its not even a SciFi Z class movie, so crap is it!

And you are right, the movie was only ok...but I did still find it appealing. Probably because they at least attempted to copy the style of the first movie with those robocop type ads scattered throughout the movie.

I admit to liking some sci-fi B movies but I have not seen either STT 2 or 3. Oh, and I haven't read STT the novel yet but I plan to some day. Right now I'm still knee-deep in the Foundation Trilogy.

The novel can be read in a few hours, its hardly what one would call intensive reading.

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!
