It'll be completely realistic.
I'm sure that all deputy sheriffs have at least three other officers with them at all times when on patrol.

I'm not really familiar with how things work in the US or the particular state/county where this will be filmed, but is he even legally allowed to wear a uniform and enforce the law ?

I think tv hit the ultimate low a while ago once the majority of shows became either cop dramas, medical dramas and reality. I've gotta go with the show Cheaters on this one. Jerry Springs + Cops and using peoples' ultimate misery for entertainment. Scare Tactics is a close 2nd for pretty similar reasons. Both excel at bad taste.

That's the cheesiest crap on earth, when some white guy starts that up. I remember this one guy he busted actually tried get himself off because he was arrested by an actor. Didn't work.
