I lifted this from Hartford's post on the 380 flight, it was on the same page.

This machine still amazes me as to it's complexity. There must be an army of technicians maintaining it since no one person could understand every aspect of it's operation.

Beautiful workmanship.

No, like as not. I just figured if I ran away REALLY fast, I could escape.

Or I could live with the zombies. Well, "live" isn't quite correct, more like undead. But, they'd get sucked in too and then I'd be with a bunch of zombies and they smell bad.

I know! I could get like maybe 30 big weather balloons, hook them up to a lawn chair, have a six pack of beer on board and a BB gun. Tether that sucker up to a car bumper, fill the balloons with helium, cut the tether. Away I go! And I watch as humanity gets sucked into a big blackhole.

It could...work!

Quantum Superstate
I've already passed through the quantum singularity generated by this thing. I spotted it in the green fog after I left the USS Eldridge (DE-173) in Philadelphia Naval Shipyard one day, long ago, and wandered over to check it out. Wrote down the details in my journal.

What happens is, the world population will be trimmed from 6,798,469,465 to 2,248,739,192 in less than half a second. Those of you who survive the immense pressure wave generated by the passage through the singularity will find yourselves suddenly scattered throughout the world on August 28th, 1941 at 4:07 PM. At that point, time will resume its normal pace.

Then things will become very interesting. But look on the bright side. You liked the original "Call of Duty". You'll probably like World War 2. I know 20mm will witness the firebombing of Dresden as a POW, and then suddenly find himself on Tralfamadore.

As for the rest of you, some I'm not sure, and some it's best I don't tell you. But I'd obtain identification papers and assign myself a birthday that fits the time right away if I was you. If you tell them some oddball story about a quantum singularity and being born after World War 2, things could get somewhat difficult. They were touchy back then, with the war on and all.

Cheers!

Rick... eek

Saw on the news last night that not only is this working, it came online and was running ahead of schedule. As in, the night before when no one was around and they had to be called back into work.
THAT worries me. LOL

Not this guy. I'm excited to see and read about the results of their experiments!

Quantum Superstate
I once stood full upright in a cloud of projectiles generated by four M61A1's (one round even sunburning my left ear on its way past my head) long enough to make a radio call advising the enthusiastic fellows doing it that we on the ground, being on their side and all, would greatly appreciate it if they would consider stopping at their earliest possible convenience.

After that, I'm no longer afraid of anything. I've already experienced the scariest thing that could ever happen to anyone and came out of it with just a sore ear. Black holes are sissy crap.

Cheers!
