Damn ! I just bought 275GTX. I guess its always like this the moment you buy one piece of hardware, there's something better available frown

Core i7 10700KF, MSI Z490 MEG UNIFY, 32GB DDR4 RAM, RTX 2080 Super 8GB, 1 TB SAMSUNG NVMe x 1, 4TB Seagate SATA3 x 2, CORSAIR RM850x PSU, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, Track IR 4 and Oculus Rift S.

Hhmm. I didn't expect such an extreme difference between the new Ati and the GTX285, most benchmarks showed 30% performance increase.

The one thing I don't like about their test is that 1600 visibility is far too low for real combat usage, especially when you bring vehicles into a scenario. It would have been more gameplay-relevant to find out what details you can run at 3000 view distance.

I wonder what 2 5800's crossfired together would have done?

Cooked your dinner too wink

However, looking back at those numbers, I don't quite know what's happening there. The framerates they get for the GTX285 are definitely on the low side, given the settings chosen.

Agreed. I have a gtx260 and my average is almost the same with everything maxed except PP and AA, and a 2500 VD (albeit a lower res)...but I don't think I've ever dropped to 5fps. I don't think a lower res would make THAT much of a difference (I don't think anyways)

bottleneck by CPU.....

just look at guru3d for the 5870 crossfire benchmark.. and you'll see that 2x 5870 are bottleneck by an I7@3.7 ghz.....
