Hi all,

Well, I'm really pleased to announce that my English Channel map is finished and available for download. You'll find that there are 4 maps - summer and winter versions of the 1940 - 1941 version, and summer and winter versions of the 1942 - 1945 version.

The download is very large - the maps come with hundreds of custom objects and airfields so be patient. You'll also need some other 3rd party object mods (see ReadMe for details). I've provided an auto-installer, though of course if you're ok with mods a manual install works too.

Not much more to say really. Enjoy the map and make lots of campaigns and missions!

Thanks to all who gave advice/ideas/comments etc. I really hope you'll enjoy the map and have good fun recreating the dogfights over Europe.

Joe

A most excellent adventure! Judging from the earlier beta, I'm sure this will have been worth waiting on. Thanks for all your hard work, Canon!

Hmm...downloaded 1 and then was told that was my limit for the day, for free users.
Guess I won't have this 'til Tuesday!
Looks like it'll be worth it, though. It's my favorite map. I hardly fly any other.

you have to wait about 15 minutes and then it should let you download the next file.

Yeah, Kramer. Thanks. Went back and got the next one. So I'll have it in a half hour instead of Tuesday!

Okay, I still haven't gotten to install the map yet, still installing the other mods it requires and I've run into a little problem. Hopefully someone (Puts? smile ) will have some insight. In the mod, "MadToc TOW Objects," it is staed in the readme for installation this: "Put the file named ' ToW ' in the following file:(C: or D:)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik on 1946 Mod\MODS\STD\3do\Buildings" and when I go to my MODS|STD folder I see no folder entitled "3do" or "Buildings" for that matter. Do I just create new folders and then add this mod? This one doesn't seem to conform to the new 1.1 UI version or does it? Thanks for any help you can give!
