On Domination the mission by the way.


With AI this is great, even better when you can get humans to join one squad!
Tactics and teamwork make the day. We've had some really good games with this mission all said.

There's a progression to it that's nice.

Anyhow a couple of things are problematic about it, like if you've spent all day getting vehicles (earning them) and you go away for an hour or two and you see one of two things;

a) The server has restarted and is in default mode somehow (like if someone popped in for a another different mission then left or restarted it).

b) All your hard earned vehicles are wrecks on the map.

I'll see about making a dedicated domination server for you guys to play with, that way we'll know the game state is relatively safe. I'll put SimHQ in the front of it's name so it shows up in the same filter as well SimHQ's. Password will match theirs. TS info text will scroll up on startup. I'll get this ready this evening.


One small rule I'd like to see, you wreck it, you fix it. Go get the wreck helo, lift it to the wreck repair pad, and fix it! ;-) Wreck Helo is the far left one in the row of them.


Tips.

Recon by Binoculars, not recon by vehicle, park it, walk 100m and scope out the town. You can easily respawn, the earned vehicle can't (stock helos and MHQ's respawn on their own though).
Vehicles should be supported by men way in front of you, if not you risk wrecking very fast.

Carry two rifles, go to a weapons crate, empty all your gun slot items. Pick for example a sniper rifle, exit gear again. You now have an option to put the sniper rifle in your backpack. Do that, then go into the weapons crate again, select a rifle with say a grenade launcher, a SMAW and say 2-3 rounds of SMAW ammo. You are now armed for BEAR!
Thanks Beans for that tip. It's great to be a Sniper, Grenadere, and AT soldier all at once.

Don't use MHQ2, park MHQ2 by the medical hut back at the bases main spawn. You can then use MHQ1 to quickly jump to MHQ2 and heal yourself (since it's now by the med tent) or even to get to a Helo. Saves you the walk from the MHQ2 original spot.

Ah, helping +G load himself up with rockets so I can pick pocket his corpse later! You make a good rocket mule!

I would really like a dedicated server for just Domination so we can come back the next day and keep on fighting the same war. Just make sure that you max out the number of cities so we can't beat it too fast.

I like the idea of a dedicated Domination server for two reasons.

1. The few times I have played that game mode, I actually enjoyed it, better than Evo.
2. This would allow for more 'regular' missions that the SimHQ guys have made to be more readily played on the server. Right now, if it isn't a designated night, it is usually just Dom that is played. This would be even more valid once we have more missions designed for smaller numbers of players, like the one fatty just made.

My Dom Server is up, use SimHQ in your filter list (I used that in my name to make it easier for you to find). The password is the same as SimHQ's.

TS info is listed when you connect or use positiveg.getmyip.com same password as the ArmA2 server.

I look forward to playing on there! Any chance on getting the Arty Module loaded up on it? That way when we unlock the MLRS we can actually use it as artillery instead of direct fire rockets.

Beans, not sure how to do that, if that mod is a seemless integration into the Domination mission, I can't see why not.

Perhaps adlabs or someone like that could answer. I am not sure. I just make the wild demands and expect them to be completed. Can't you tell I was an NCO?

Perhaps you can put this version of Domination on the server to try out as well.

I have not been able to connect the Pos+G TS Server.
I've tried for 2 days...nada.
Getting the no reply from server error.

I am just using VON on the +G server. Come join me, I am kicking ass and taking names.

At about 2144 PST last night I got a red chain and lost connection. Don't know if you have something running on your server at that time or what happened. Had a good run though. I was able to finish off Vybor and started attacking Patushwhateverska just South of it. I was able to stand off in Vybor and destroy almost all of the enemy armor with SMAWs and an M119 that I had airdropped in. So if the mission is still running it should just be some mopping up and the tower that is left. Thanks again for hosting this up +G. SlackAdjuster used to do the same with the first ArmA where we could have a long running game of Domination or Evo.
