I'm trying to use a new
Saitek X52 throttle along side my trusty MS-FFB2 joystick. One of the things I want to use the "Fire D" button for is Press-to-talk on Teamspeak 2. Ideally, I'd like to switch this button from being mapped to F3 (my TS talk button), to F4 (a TS key set for my squad) and F5 (a TS key set for my wingman) depending on the circumstances.
Because I'm not using the X52 joystick I don't have the "Mode" switch available, but the profiling software seems to offer the ability to switch between Modes by assigning a key for that mode.
So I fire-up the profiling software, programme the F3 keystroke in Mode 1, then all the other Modes inherit it. So far, so good, it works. Then I set the Mode 2 "Fire D" button to F4, clear the mode/shift button selection box (3rd from top) and put, say, "Fire E" as my Mode 2 selector button.
Save the profile, clear the throttle profile, load the new profile...
Press "Fire D", get F3... fine...
Press "Fire E" (hoping to change to Mode 2)... ziltch... MFD still says Mode 1, "Fire D" still gives me F3!
Am I missing something? Is there some subtlety of Modes and Shift States I'm being dense about?
Happy to post .pr0 files if anyone can help.
Thanks,
