Using the new version of JIM which I posted in Stratos' thread I tried it with SPAW. It ran fine using the custom CDFs smile

Hi Tony.

24bit multi skins too?

Can you repost this info on Frugals.

I'm sure this will be of interest there too. smile

Hi,

the ingamegraphics are not related to the 7217 error, its only the pregame graphic that cause the trouble, so yes, the 24bit graphics will work as usual.

Jim is actually a simplyfied external frontend and use a special EAW.exe, which launch a mission right away, without the need of a ingame screen.

Greetings,

Knegel

Will work on a SCW install? Will this exe use the FM and data files present in the EAW folder?

Nice pics Mr. Jel. I see you are using a older Hurricane squadron. BTW, I fixed the missing right landing gear and put the fixed set into my folder.

Stratos- yes. A few files such as runways.dat need to be replaced to make it 1.28B compatible, but like all EAW exes it uses files in the EAW folder in preference to any in the CDFs.

IM- I will get them thanks! That was just a quick reponse to Col G's question.

jawdrop Well, I am mightily impressed with the look of EAW JIM.
The new screens are great.
If we can't get them in the new 1.28 exes...
I hate to give up the new standard 1.28(x or whatever). But I may have to do it without any Error 7217. thumbsup

it's not out yet. The MODSquad is working furiously to finish it up this week.

Every time we think we're ready the coders pull another rabbit out of the hat and we have to incorporate the latest improvement.

Dame them coders!

The latest is the addition of the V1 slot as a flyable, fully selectable option, obviously with some plane other than the V1 assigned there. For SPAW we added the A6M3 but it could be anything the modder wants to add.

Since Talley-ho is still down one of the MODSquad guys has offered to host the files temporarily.

We'll post the link when the campaign is launched.
