I'm getting really tired of the same-o threads with the same-o topics.
So, let's freshen up the list of topics to endlessly debate to give some variety!
My first is our old friend, the Sopwith Snipe. Great plane, but seriously, should we really see it in France? Most production models were held back in the UK to deal with Zepplins, and the few that made it into the land of snails and champagne barely had the doping dried before the ink on the Versailles treaty got wet.
It's the Me-262 of WWI - too few too late to make a serious impact. Heck, it's an RAF plane far more than an RFC one.
Bombs for all pilots! Okay, they're actually grenades or mortar rounds, but I think we should have the option of carrying a couple to throw at the sloggers and their tents. Chances are they won't do much damage, but it's a nice way to express one's sentiments while flying over.
What's with all the trucks? Sheesh, it's awful mechanized down there! Make the horses invulnerable, but detached from the wagons and running off or something if the ratings is a concern for some countries (!), but we need them.
Any other topics we haven't hit on yet?
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

That request for info on barges the other week/month. Was that for RoF or perhaps SoW Plenty of canals and waterways in RoF Lock-keepers, horse-drawn barges More buildings for navigation, there's hundreds of churches in France Higher-resolution terrain, always a good addon Sopwith Camel and the Fokker Triplane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9ZZrNY3oJQMing

Farm life (workers, animals etc). I don't care if they're static. Surely all that land had to be worked on by someone?

I agree with tidbits of the above posters...I would like flyable two seaters bombers and scouts. The campaign does need a lot more going on. if you fly off route, there is literally NOTHING going on. no cars, no planes, no trains...its all preset based on your route..fighters and bombers show up at the exact same place everytime you play the same mission (ive restarted a few times rather than end my career after a crash).
Also I would like to see the MP get fixed. I agree, a few servers half of them password protected to boot, is not enough for me. how bout getting dogfight implemented so we dont have to restart and wait for each coop mission to load over and over again??

I'd agree with the posters above generally . More content isn't more planes necessarily, though can understand Neoqb need or want the revenuse stream, and they must release the two promised in any case - Se5s, PfalzD3. I think they also need to provide a Quick Mission Builder. Even when I played Il2 online, I used that just as much for fun, passing the time or a lot of practise. In many ways I think this is the most critical missing part. Stock/user built missions are not a replacement imo.

Good thing is they can work on more than one aspect of the sim at a time, so no request is pointless. Therefore, my request is for two-seaters. Not just the Biff or the Breguet but the real workhorses of WW1 aviation--arty and obs planes. Even if AI only. I've seen some in progress from the KOTS days; hopefully they'll make the sim.
I'll list several off the top of my head; I'll include bombers, too. Obviously, the preponderance of simmers want to fly scouts so I don't expect many two-seaters in the immediate future, but their eventual presence in-sim would go a long way toward expanding ROF's historical accuracy.
(List is not conclusive and includes types flown prior to 1918):

How about this critical issue - where the he!! is my copy? It MUST be arriving soon! Okay, whinge off for now. I'm wondering the same FSM, I stupidly ordered mine by slow post thinking I wouldn't have time to play it for a couple of weeks, then I fractured my ankle and have been off work for the best part of 3 weeks, I've spent two and a half weeks of that time looking out the window to see if the posties been, but no luck so far, ah well should be back at work in a day or two so no doubt it will arrive in about three days

Spad 11? I suppose you mean SPAD S.XII, the infamous "canon" Spad, developped with the help of Guynnemer, that was only given to master pilots (with its 37mm canon)....
