I met Eric at his home, which is just 1-mile from where I live and he is a great story-teller. The picture in this article is one I took. I'm considering popping round with my video camera and doing an interview, would there be any interest in it though?

Let me know, cheers, MP.

I for one would be interested, one should never fail to learn from the people who were actually there, and made those sacrifices. Puts

Okay, I'm interviewing him on Sunday morning and will upload the video some time next week.

If there are any questions you'd like asked, I will do my best, but it depends on a) his memory )pretty good I think), and b) if he has the time.

Cheers, MP.

I read the article and it's an extraordinary story.

I'm curious to know which fighter he flew and what he thought of it?

What allied aircraft were sought after and which were undesirable?

Did he feel out-match to by the luftwaffe men or machines?

Cheers

AD, he flew Hurricane's, Defiants and Spitfire's. I managed to get him to talk a little about each, but his favourite was the Hurricane as it was, in his mind, the most forgiving aircraft.

The last question is also covered. Hopefully the one-and-a-half hour interview will be online in the next week. Will post a link as soon as it's done, cheers, MP>
