With some more objects magic from the A-Team and some help from TK the terrain in this sim can look very nice These tiles are a direct replacement for the stock ones, and change nothing except the look, and adding some strafing targets. I have replanted almost all the trees and the trench lines and everything else is totally intact. They are released now and available at Combatace.com They are not perfect. You can occasionally see the seams; I'm working on getting rid of that issue now. But they're much better than the stock tiles.

You can now fly Billy Bishop's famous (or infamous) VC winning Airfield Raid from 1917. Did it really happen??? Or did he make the whole thing up??? What do you think???

Cross and Cockade magazine (or Over the Front, I cannot remember which) had an article a few years ago in which the author presented pretty convincing evidence that Bishop faked his VC raid: he came back without his MG, the holes in his tailplane were suspiciously well-grouped, no German records, and no witnesses corroborated his actions. By that point in his career, Bishop could claim anything he wanted and the authorities would accept it, while ordinary airmen had to have every kill verified.

Very nice! The more random look of things really gives it a good feel. That is a lot of trees to replant! Looking forward to the release.

THAT's what I couldn't figure out. The trees are far more random. That's a great change, all in itself. Looking forward to this, and strafing some parked Jerries!

At first I was a little ho-hum for this as I kinda like the original terrain ...........but screenshots 1 and 2 with the replanted trees have really changed my opinion.

I have now officially wet my pants

Thanks, Edward - great work. I am really looking forward to it.

Thank you, sir! Looks fantastic, and can't wait for Flanders!

And, although thrilled with your efforts, you can't say no (or worse) unless I ask the following: Any plans to release autumn and winter terrain?
