This could prove to be interesting; I was trying some ideas from this topic http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=28109&st=0 and I decided to see if it worked for the EE2. Alas...it did! In fact, it looks SO much better, at least in my opinion. I'm using the same file as resident Evil 4 as a test, http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/download_en.htm . I didn't modify them in any way...yet :P Sadly, this wont work in the EECH/EEAH, unless there is an alternative, because I believe EECH/EEAH is using DX7. here are some pics for your enjoyment. It is very nice.
I was using this wrapper in Lock On, and the only problem was that whenever anything exploded the screen would go black for a couple of seconds. Is that problem evident here?
Thanks, Torquatus

Thanks, Torquatus I dont know if this counts as an explosion, but I was hovering over the water to check how it looked, I lost control and crashed, there was no black screen. I used flares, guns and hellfires, and no black screen.

Ive refined my settings a little further. If anybody wants to try my config and offer feed back please do Link - http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id2802298816The refinements are aimed at trying to get the best color balance and remove glare from PNVS/FLIR. The Commanche cockpit seems to have a shader or tint in the screen, so to look at the true colors try the no cockpit mode Ctrl+F1, and you can also increase your MFD pages in this mode using Alt+F1. Regarding framerate issues, this mod wont be for everyone, but its very tweekable to suit your PC Hardware. Framerates arnt so critical in flightsims as FPS games so as long as my framerate remains above 25fps with TADS live im happy, and of course you can toggle this mod on/off anytime ingame with Shift+F12. I guess this mod is about getting the best eye candy possible out of your GFX hardware. There is also a brief explanation of various settings here http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/doc_en.htm

Ok heres another take on a config ini file for this mod. It has some changes to the shadowing, and occlusion is disabled as suggested by spiffy offering a framerate boost. Ive got this mod auto loading as well, so if havnt removed the intro videos you may want to disable "UseEffect" and manually load after startup with shift+F12 [GLOBAL] UseEffect=1 Link v4 - http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id2807346872*

Colonel_Kurtz, I'd like to remove the intro videos, how can I do it fast and dirty? Thanks. Locate your EE2 vodeo folder and delete or move the contents(4 x mpg files) eg: D:\Enemy Engaged 2\cohokum\video\(delete these files, but leave folder intact) The game just moves forward.
