What? huh?

Here's a sample from other posts:

"I have found that in XP, I have no such problem, but on my Vista laptop, it pops up, and keeps wanting
to grab focus when it hears anything."

Yes...just fine. LOL

Here are a few others:

"Vista doesn't help either ... two piss-poor pieces of software fighting with each other ..."

another post...

"...I am sick of compatability"...obviously a Vista owner.

right...sounds like Vista owners are reaaaal happy LOL

I have XP sp2. Whilst it could be my PC, my computer doesn't crash, lockup or CTD at all, no matter what Im doing, except for when I try to run EECH2.

Sounds like you've locked into the 'Vista = piss poor" group.
Not hard to find if you are looking, eh?

It probably does run better on XP,
but the point remains that is runs just fine on Vista.

Most of the time it is the video card and drivers and what filtering you use not the OS.

Even EECH1 runs on Vista if you have the right drivers and driver setup.

Check the EECH forums.

EE2 is working on my vista also But it didn't at first . Tec support told me to delete all the videos and credits. There are 4 videos you need to delete. I done this and now my game works. The only problem I'm having now is a mouse cursor in the middle of the crosshair that will not go away.

And that mouse cursor will be due directly to Micros*it's DirectX backward-compatibility guarantee... LOL... Now the dev's have to change stuff that dear old MS state by their own policy that they take care of the rest so dev's can concentrate on the game itself - guess that means we have to discount all the hours wasted on finding workarounds for MS introduced bugs and incompatibilities, eh? Anyone else here remember the Win-2K issue with ArmA? Gotta love MS.

It's just that when you buy a game, can't get more than an hour of play out of it, then read on a forum that people are saying it's "playable", you start to think that it's your PC at fault and not the game.

Sorry to say, but it is your PC. My copy of the game runs very stable, in general does what it should and I can get many many more hours out of it than just 1. Yes there are some annoying bugs (i.e. midnight bug where it's daytime), but not any different from say the "moon bug" (enourmous moon which took up half the screen) in Silent Hunter 3 when it was first released.

I honestly don't see this game as different from any other upon release...talking about sims, of course. Nothing a few patches wont sort out.

A lot of you are having problems because of your PC and unfairly blaming the game...

I think this is true for many people having problems. I have it installed on two computers and it runs great, hasn't crashed yet even after nearly 4 hrs of play on a Saturday. The graphics and gameplay are awesome. The only issue/problem I have seen is one time I ran into an invisible object while flying NOE. But that was only once upon many times flying NOE, but I am sure there are other invisible objects out there, I just haven't "met" them yet. I am in no way saying this sim is perfect, as I have yet to see one that is. But for me, this sim is no different than all of the other ones I have played where a patch or an update always seems to help in one area or another. I don't spend alot of time on these boards anymore since I basically have no problems with it.
I wish the best for everyone having issues, and hopefully they will get some sort of fix from G2 or maybe all the problems will go away on their next computer upgrade.
