Check your PSU.

You need TWO power leads for one of these cards.

If you can sell it, then go for it. But I doubt you'd get $100, since the newer and faster GTS 250s go for just a bit more (same card).

I'm considering an 1GB HD 4890, coming from a 512MB HD4850.

My primary sim is FSX. Will this help?

Not really, although there is a performance increase with those cards, you'd need to be playing on a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (or above) to really see any difference.....and on top of that FSX is CPU limited therefore not the best game to notice any change.

Hey Pfunk, you just have to wait around for one of those killer deals at Fry's! Wow the price varies a lot on that 4890 card. Jeez, it's going for 200 bucks. I can't believe the way prices are falling on these video cards.

I know, they always run great specials in the Friday sales ad.

Hey, what the hell are you doing in Whittier, Alaska?

Not a whole lot. I'd just wait a few months... ATI's DX 11 cards will be out. By then the price of the 4890's will drop.

Unless you can get a killer deal when selling it like Pepper did.
