Or the Hornet if like me your'e nein sprechen, I tried this mod plane for the first time in a campaign, the firepower on this beast is incredible.

The guy in the back seat fires at all comers, including giving the bombers an extra peppering.

You can easily take out three B-17's on a single pass

Couple of pesky Lightnings on my tail
Rear gunner opens up again
On another mission doing some tank busting my trusty rear gunner deals with a couple of P-51's
I concentrate on the driving with my serious face on while he let's rip with both barrels.

Cool. That looks like it's fun to fly.

I haven't played IL2 in ages. Might be time to dust it off again.

Very nice shots - great action, that's a cool looking plane.

Yes I'm not up to date on the pits, I'd remove that before you burn in hell for eternity biggrin

Thanks Trooper BTW, I cant keep up with all this stuff, I never knew there were other pits for this, I normally only add cockpit repaints for all the stock planes.

As I wont be installing the variant cockpits for a few days, Here's a pic of what the anatomically correct cockpits look like

Geez! I don't go to their site for one day...and I miss something!

I'm way behind on a lot of the mods as I normally only look at a particular aircraft I'm waiting for or a map, plus I really cant keep up with the amount of threads at AAA, you need mod experten like Von Barb or Trooper for specifics biggrin. The plane has been out for about 8 months and the new cockpits came out 3 weeks ago.

For the Hornisse enthusiasts, a few pics of the correct cockpits although I've forgotten which variants they are

This is the one in the last two pics in the original post

Looking back at the rear gunner

This is the other variant with the gun pod against B-17's
