Hello! My first post in the forums and I would appreciate some advice!
I have had F4:AF for a few years and never mastered the beast! Would like to give it another try and am planning to get a new joystick. It will be mainly for F4 and FSX/EECH.
I can't decide between x52 pro and Saitek cyborg evo force feedback stick.
I like the thought of all the extra switches on x52 but wonder whether force feedback would improve the immersion/feel of flight simming. What would be the best option? Thoughts would be welcomed! Thanks!

Welcome, misterh!

I like my X52 Pro. Had it since they came out, and no problems. I wouldn't call the switches "extra" (other than in comparison to the cyborg). They make HOTAS possible, which is very immersive, not to mention convenient compared to hunting around on a keyboard - that isn't in the real pit.

But it does come down to a person's personal preferences, so good luck with whichever you choose.

I've had my X-52 pro for quite a while now and am quite happy with it, I have a cyborg as well, not force feed back though and like it as well. for a sim like F-4 the switches really help out. lots of buttons in F-4. If you need a profile drop me a PM

I'd say if it's mainly for F4 forget about force feedback, go for the buttons. The real F-16 joystick doesn't move anyway :p
