Ok you have Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Trek Online coming. I am betting that they come out within couple months of each other since that seems to be the way of MMOs nowadays. Anyone have an early preference for which one you will play, assuming that you play this kind of game?
My gut tells me to bet on a Bioware title when everything else is equal but it's still pretty early to tell...

Warhammer Online (boring as hell once you get to a certain lvl) What level is that... 1? I almost hate my friends for making me play that GD game. I can not wait until something else comes out that they are interested in playing!!!

Don't know, Star Wars has the better record with good games, but Star Trek would be a nice change.
I'l stick with my Lord of the Rings online for now.

Don't know, Star Wars has the better record with good games, Based on my experience, at least not when it comes to MMO's! I tried SW Galaxies for a few days and found it to be extremely dull.

I didn't play Galaxies either, just ment normal games. Ah, ok. I've liked all of the Star Trek PC games I've ever bought except for Starfleet Command 3 which I felt was dumbed down from the previous two games which were excellent space combat RTS games.

I would love a WW2 game done with today's technology.

I would love a WW2 game done with today's technology. About the only thing out there in existence right now is World War II Online (Battlefield Europe).

I would love to be able to play both SWTOR and STO. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time. My only problem with either is that they will not live up to the expected hype. While Bioware is known of compelling stories, I have never been overly thrilled with the way they handle gameplay. And since this is an MMO, I am not sure how Bioware will handle gameplay since it will be somewhat different then in their past games. There have also been rumors that SWTOR will have a microtransaction scheme to their payment plans, supposedly according to EA's CEO. If true, that may not be for me. As far as STO is concerned, it has had a very sorted history. Cryptic took it over from Perpetual after the later imploded. While Cryptic has had a fairly good road record with games like Cities of Heros and Villians, I still have not seen enough of this game to say they have a good handle on gameplay. STO has potential (as does SWTOR) but it is still an unknown entity at this point. The real game changer on STO though could be that Cyrptic has said they would like to co-develop for mulitple platforms of both PCs and Consoles. PC version and console version on same servers. I would not like that for various reasons and would probably stay away if that is the case.
Bottom line, I will just wait till things are more clear in the future.

I plan to try both, but will more likely stick with Star Trek if its good. I want in on the opening day #%&*$# thats for sure. so tired of coming to WoW 4 years late >.<
All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Yeah I played that for a year until I got tired of the limitations of that engine.
I played it for the first 3 years and the game was significantly improved but I just got bored of fighting over and over in the same map (Low Countries, NE France).

I would love to try Eve Online, but not enough time to devote to this game.
I played a bit of the original Jumpgate way back in 2002 or 2003? fun game, but it became boring after a few months. iibc, a new and updated version is coming out or out now.
Is Aces High still running? that was a fun MMO WW2 flightsim. (I don't think this can be called an RPG)
