From another forum:
"Unfortunately, I've had to delete 2 topics over the past 24hrs, that were meant in good nature (well one was) but should have been thought through before posting.
One was offering purcahse of an obviously pirated or copied version of the movie "The Red Baron", the other was an open invite/solicitaion to Beta test the new RoF version.
. . .
As far as the RoF Beta testing... I know it was offered with all of the best intentions, but you are all paying or possibly paying customers for our software. It is in our right not to allow solicitaion of other WWI Flight Combat games on our site, especially of a competetive nature. There are a TON of non-biased Flight Sim forums that material of that nature can be posted. But this being a specific OFF Fan/customer/community based forum, it doesn't belong here. "
Edit: Ummm, just saw the RoF Blog Beta invite.

April Fool's Day tomorrow, keep this in mind, the procedure sounds rather protracted with all that Post Office, scanner stuff Ming

ViKs, with the beta invite, suggest you/the team repost at CombatAce on the WWI Flight Sim Discussion forum if Neoqb want to get more visibilty or a wider audience. That forum is there for that reason. Suggest you email MK2, the site owner as well, on more general matters. Can you please drop me an direct link or/maybe/even better an MK2 e-mail? (thru PM).

There ain't much RoF-related activity at CA so it has no special subforum (yet).
Talk about a sentence that explains itself. dizzying.

I have to agree with Frey, there aren't many fans of RoF over at CA, especially in the OFF side of the board. Even Mk2 is not keen, according to a post he made in the IL2 SimHQ room. Link? From what I have read, MK2 is firstly interested in expanding CombatAce beyond its historical staple - Thirdwire Games, and secondly is very much interested in RoF. I know he had some concerns, whether it would be ever be released (we all shared that concern), and whether it had a good Single Play game. Both of these look like being last months "concerns". Not implying that RoF will necessarily be a hit over at CombatAce, but I don't agree there wouldn't be interest in that community, nor that CombatAce would not be interested in creating a forum either.

There are nicer ways to ask for a link!
Looks like you saw the thread I mean then. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2678834/Re_Are_you_ready_for_World_War.html#Post2678834 Didn't sound to enthusiastic to me. Ignore my comments in that thread they weren't directed at Mk2, more at the amount posts at that time, that ran down RoF only to advertise OFF at the tail end. I know MK2 is a big supporter of flight simming, both with his time and his money, so don't think I'm running him down or CombatAce. I do visit there occasionally, especially for FE stuff. But this thread is about the RoF beta and finding people to beta test it. (not that there will be a shortage). RoF is not a hot topic at CA so i can't see the point in advertising RoF beta testing there.
