I believe you can press the 'F' key.. but mine might be changed as per personal preference..not sure if the F key is the default or not.

The best way as you say is to get as close to corner speed. I try and stay at about 375 - 420. If I go slower I might break off as I lose to much speed and any faster I may be at a disadvantage.

What aircraft are you in? F-16's flaps are controlled by the FLCS and will not deploy with a keystroke. Only time flaps are down is when gear is down.

As Panther said forget about the flaps in the F-16.

But they still can be operated manually, in case of... battle damage or else.
And LEF's too.

If I recall, the keys are CTL+F9/F10 small steps increment/decrement.
... CTL+F11/F12 - full retracted/deployed

With LEF's is the same "trick" (assuming aircraft have ones) but not with CTL, then with ALT+...

And you have to switch to "Manual LEF's" on the leftmost side, near trimmer controls.

But, You'll prefer to listen Panther and Kosmo on the stuff, that bird is perfectly able to control
those on itself.

cheers

The LEFs can not be moved manually, they can only be locked in place so they don't move at all. The TEFs can be moved to the full down position as you said. The switches are on the far left of the left console, on the FLT CONTROL panel: ALT FLAPS to EXTEND to manually extend the TEFs and LE FLAPS to LOCK to lock the LEFs in place.

Yes indeed.

F-16's LEF's cannot be manually operated, just auto or locked in last pos.

But maybe some other aircraft's can /if there is one with LEF's?/ , because that option still exist and I think it work's. (maybe for debug only?, tho, never tested, except for TEF's, that certainly work)

But still cannot see how's that useful in dogfight lightsabers ....
(deploying flaps?!!, just to mention)

cheers

Flaps can be useful in a dogfight, but the whole point is that the FLCS does it for you, you don't need to do anything yourself.

As for other planes... Don't hold your breath, this is an F-16 sim. If anything works correctly on other planes (which I doubt) it's most probably by chance.

Usually CTRL+F11/F12. You can check it out in the setup as well if you are unsure. Not all aircraft support manual flaps.

Guys the original author was in the F-16, so the keystrokes will not do anything. Of course you can send the keystroke in the setup screen but it won't do a darn thing in the pit.
