Cool. It will be nice to finally see the GUI for the sim.

I'm glad they are upping better resolution material now.

What's going on? He just seems to be arranging his medals on the screen.

Maybe he's arranging the medals for target practice with his colt. Must admit, I can't make any sense of what he's doing!

From what I could tell when you earn a reward you can display the reward on your screen like a desktop before you launch the game. I cant read what is on the screen though but I did notice that the date of one of the medals he received was 3/5/2009 which means thats the latest build!

Oh and there is your online verification right there lol.

User name and password on the first screen after the game loads up. Looks like online verification before you can do anything in the game is required.

....or a sign in to an online community database storing everybody's stats.

Which ever it is, no doubt we will soon find out.

There's that little ballerina dancing away. wink

Perhaps the page works like Facebook or Myspace where others can view your online stats? That would be fun.

The GUI looks pretty fluid. Hopefully, it will be enhanced with other things regarding kill boards and various stats of players and campaigns.

Regarding the sign-in, there is already a 6-page speculation page about how things regarding copy protection might pan out. Could we make an effort to limit discussions regarding this topic to that thread until Neoqb or their publisher's protection methods are confirmed?

Yea but this is about the video which obviously shows a login of some sort. I think it is a legitimate topic for this thread...

Maybe they made this video just because they saw our discussion and wanted to see how far they could push us. They might be laughing their arses off at their office right now.

Loft said that the user logs in to an account to update a profile kept on a server for stats.
Still no mention about needing to log in to play or anyhting on DRM. It is still speculation how relevent the log in process is. Plus as has been pointed out there is a whole other thread on the subject.

6 pages? Its 17 and counting ... no doubt we'll get the usual lot here preaching ...

A very nice GUI in itself, and can imagine how it could be enhanced or added to for example as per some of the comments above.

This game continues to exceed even my very high expectations.

Boooooo. Hissssss. Boooooo.

Unless you meant that with a sense of awe and reverence.

In which case, I heartily agree.

Medals are by nationality, and he went to the plane that matched, if I saw it correctly.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that login, as it may be NDA proofing.

Oh jeebus! DRM.

I could tell you how misaligned that paranoia is.

But then, who am I? Not a network admin or helpdesk manager, or the combination of both.
