Seeing a few of the threads on the board for this beautiful sim made me hunt down some old screenies of mine. I haven't played it for a while but i can feel the call of the sea once again! All of these were either v1.00 or with the first patch (told you it's been a while!) Some, but not all, have been touched up. It's such a gorgeous looking sim you don't have to do much.

1: just tweaked the colours a little.

2: Trying to make it look like a combat photo from the era.

3: Surfacing at night after a convoy attack went a bit Pete Tong. I remember this patrol very well....

4: It's going to be a stormy night.

5: My favourite. Untouched and somes up the game for me in some ways. It reminds me of a couple of scenes in Das Boot.

@Master: Please tell me that 'new cpu' ain't a i7920......Mine should be arriving in the next couple of days...

Excellent shots and some very nice editing! The B/W pic looks pretty authentic!

It runs the game great but locks up randomly for no reason at all. I tried both my hard copy and my steam copy and both lock up. It locks about 95% of the time I load a save file (unless I exit out of the game and come back in fresh then it never stall on loading a save.) and if I leave the campaign map going at a high x ration for too long.

It isnt heat related or graphics card related so I think it is either a vista 64 problem or a multicore problem. I'll keep you advise if I figure out what is causing it. You might be lucky though and have no problems what so ever.

p.s. Beautiful shots! Makes me want to boot up the game and take my chances smile

Beautiful game; wish I had a rig that could run it.

Thankyou Gentleman. I can't really take too much credit for the editing, though, as in this case it's just balancing colour and contrast slightly. Like I said, though, the game is so pretty you don't have to do much.

@Master: I've got my new i7 system up and running (and it flies...!) but I cannot test SH4 because I've lost the disk! Lol....typical...As soon as I find it I'll let you know.
