I looked in the usual place and can't find this mod (new slot tbm-1) sounds like it would be fun!

I don't understand why I can't use the B5N2 in the Coral Sea subcampaign. As far as I know, it uses the same map as the Santa Cruz subcampaign. I had the same issue when I tested the TBF1. It worked on the Midway, Marianas and Santa Cruz maps, but not on the Coral Sea map.

What DGen.exe use?

The latest version of the DGen.exe file is 4.0.8.6. It is part of Enjoyr Patch 4.8 and also included in the latest DGen campaigns you can download at Mission4Today.

You people (including the OP) are aware you could fly the Beaufighter, Betty, A-20 (both versions), Sturmovik, He-111 which all could carry toprs right? Only because you weren't only talking about carrier borne torp bombers.

Yes, I am aware about the torpedo bombers flyable in vanilla IL2. There is even a He-111 torpedo bomber dynamic campaign in the add-on Ostfront for instance. You are right to point out that we can have fun using land-based torpedo bombers with vanilla IL2.

The missing stuff is clearly about carrier borne torpedo bombers: Avengers, B5N, B6N are AI only in the game.

To test the TBF1C and TBM3 I have included them into the US Navy Bomber campaign. I have not tested the TBM1, but I think it will work too.

If you don't have a file called classesUN2 you have to create one and include the following entries in it:
TBF1C SantaCruz CARRIER
TBF1C Midway CARRIER
TBF1C CoralSea CARRIER
TBF1C Guadal1 CARRIER
TBF1C Tarawa CARRIER
TBF1C GROUND
TBM3 Iwo CARRIER
TBM3 Palau CARRIER
TBM3 Chichi CARRIER
TBM3 Okinawa CARRIER
TBM3 GROUND

Then you have to open the planesUN2 file and include the TBF1C and TBM3 entries below the names of the subcampaigns. The planes will only work on a map when they have a CARRIER entry for this map in the classes file.

I can't guarantee that it will work on every map. At the moment I have successfully tested the planes only on the Midway and Santa Cruz maps. They didn't worked on the Coral Sea map.

I don't no if there is a TBF1 cockpit. The modded version of the game uses a cockpit from another plane for the TBF1.

Sorry, I made a mistake. I have writen TBF1, but it must be TBF1C. I will correct my post. At the moment the TBF1 doesn't have a cockpit.
