I don't care if anyone else gives a damn. I finally got the Shark up, around the course, and then back to home base and landed without jumping out early or ending up in a fireball. Now that I can use the PVI and AP systems (and I discovered the little red box that shows your trim state) I'm ready to get blowing stuff up (intentionally).

Incidentally, the trim state display makes trimming the BS a no-brainer. To other Cougar owners: CTL-ENT!!!!

Care to share where the little red box is with the trim info?

I read the "how to take off and blow stuff up" thread and that was of great help. It took me a few days as well to figure out the basic things, and now atleast I can fly the heli. Moving on to figuring out the ABRIS.
